Job: Cleaner
Location: Ladywood Leisure Centre
Reports to: Facility Manager
Hours: 10 hours, 7.30am-9.30am
Salary: £12 per hour
Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in our facility. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and take pride in keeping the environment clean, safe, and welcoming for staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean, dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect designated areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and communal spaces.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Refill and restock supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
• Follow cleaning schedules and ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly, following instructions and guidelines.
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or shortages of cleaning supplies to the Facility Manager
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure security of premises by locking doors and windows when required.
Requirements:
• Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper storage procedures is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
